Fellowship is salaried (with benefits) with funding available to extend the fellowship to a two-year program, which includes NIH-funded tissue engineering research, a broader clinical training experience, and enhanced opportunities for international training. The Fellowship is approved by the GURS Specialty Society and teaching faculty will include Dr. Joel Gelman, Dr. Keith Rourke (effective July 1, 2025), Dr. Faysal Yafi, Dr. Zhina Sadeghi, and Dr. Antoine Khoury. Additional information can be found in the Fellowship Description on the GURS Website: https://societygurs.org/gurs-fellowships/us-canada/ The associated case log was for 1 Fellowship year for Dr. Barham, who elected to pursue a 2-year Fellowship in preparation for his current Academic Position at Brooke Army Medical Center. This did not capture his full experience, which was highlighted in the Fellowship Description. Our most recent Graduate, Dr. Babak Azad, also far exceeded minimum case requirements and Academic Requirements of the GURS. A certain minimum was required in 2 of 4 categories, and Dr Azad, met-exceeded requirements in all 4 categories in preparation for his current position of Assistant Professor at Tulane. | |
